I dreamed last night that each of the jars in my spice cabinet had become a portal to another universe, each cosmically influenced by the spice contained within.

The mulling spice universe was particularly chaotic.

That sounds really interesting. You might want to think about adapting it into a YA novel. You could make a mint. No pun intended.

You might be on to something. I used to write a lot of fantasy stories when I was young.

Wish I could've spent more time inside that dream. What would the saffron universe be like? The fenugreek worlds? The cosmos of cumin? The vanilla void? The marjoram microcosm? Celestial curry?

Have you ever read Mistress of Spices? It's not YA, and it's not quite like your dream, but it's a similar premise, and very good.
