3rd May/Morrissey/Best Day Ever !
i met naylor at 5.45 on the rotherham train to sheff to see the man himself, we got taxi upto city hall and there was loads of people there. mostly wanting tickets. naylor said "theres no point of us queing yet might aswell have a drink." so we went into RSVP across the street and watched simpsons on tele with 2 cold stellas. i was watching simpsons and naylor said "look to right of ya birdy.." and there was a guy dressed exactly like Morrissey ! he had the haircut and the blazer and everything. he looked like him in the face aswell. he was the fuckin man ! we left at 6.50 and waited outside and ive never seen soo many smiths/morrissey t-shirts in my life ! (i'm glad i wore my meat is murder tee) we got in and only lager they sold were carlsberg. which is proper wank.. i always thought we had balcony tickets but we had stall tickets ! with amazing view ! we really couldnt complain. this first band with a drummer and a bird on keyboard played first. they were wank. i shouted "get ya fanny art" which i found amusing for a while. then we had another 3 carlsberg so we were pretty drunk. when sons and daughters were setting up they had Ramones on so i sung my guts out. then fire alarm went off and everyone had to evacuate the city hall. i was like "oh no, not today fucks sake!" but it was alreyt so we could go back in. i overheard this guy say ive left my ticket in there and you needed ticket to get back in. unlucky for him. sons and daughters played, they were wank but i was soo excited to see Morrissey i didn't give a fuck about anyone else.. i went to bar again and i over heard he's on at 9.30 alot of mozza fans talk to us they were all sound except for this drunk rockabillie. he was proper drunk and ripping everyone, and he was about 3 foot.. haha then at 9.20 some people ran to front. we trusted this guy with my coat and naylors new mozza polo shirt. ran to front and we were forth from the front ! we had the best view EVER ! and he came on, oh my fuckin god it was like meeting god or summat everone cheered clapped and cried. the rest of his band were wearing playboy t-shirts for some reason, has Morrissey been shaggin playboy bunnies or what !? haha. He started with first of the gang to die, then he played second my favourite ever Smiths song ever "Still Ill" Morrissey said "wheres Gloria!?" and she was at front row he said its her 307th tour date on trot, hasn't missed one yet. what a fan.. haha then he played a NEW Moz song that isn't even on the new album called "Gang War" which is proper good, then he played the youngest was the most loved, i will see you in far off places, girlfriend in a coma ! which is a proper shock, we really didn't expect it, at last i am born, how soon is now, irish blood, english heart and some other i cant remember at the top of my head. it was best gig ever and best day ive ever had, i saw everything about him. it felt surreal because it felt like any other gig i've ever been to like himsa, locust, converge. cos i was soo close and some people were miles away. everyone stuck there hand out and sung till there throats killed, i did.. haha. there was loads of crowd surfing. alot of people got thrown out. when someone shook Morrisseys hand everyone went crazy it was like England scoring a goal or summat. this guy got on stage, shook his hand, and a bald cunt tried ragging him off to throw him out, he faught back another bouncer came and he just jumped back in crowd haha it was amazing. when someone asked him what do you think of sheffield ? he went "it's alright.." in a right childish voice haha, and he blamed the fire drill on Q magazine haha everyone did morrissey chants. me and naylor are talking about getting tickets again to see him again, fuck a festival you cant hardly seeing him ! i had the best view ever ! i saw everything. i saw the legend from head to toe ! best day ever. without a doubt
