[This would be Ichigo, chilling on a park bench, and fiddling with his Ipod, while mouthing the words to "Sunset Gun" by Damage Manual

[Here comes Mikaela, dropped in the park not far off and looking for all the world like she does this every day. As soon as the 'hopper disappears, she lets her hair out of its high ponytail and pulls a compact mirror out of her purse, checking her makeup and the fall of the waves quickly. Satisfied that nothing's horribly out of place, she puts the mirror away and looks around.
Whoop, is that orange hair over there? That's gotta be him. She strides in the kid's direction, waving.]
[Oh! There she is. Standing with a grin, and pulling his headphones off to sit around his neck, Ichigo jogged over, and ( ha! he remembered this time! ) offered a hand to shake.]
[If she notices, she doesn't remark on it, though her smile does get a bit crooked. She hitches her bag higher on her shoulder, cocking her head to the side.] Ramen? Like, the stuff that comes in the little styrofoam cups?
[Throws up her hands.] I thought that was real ramen! [Bet he can't tell she's an America, can he? She laughs.] I guess you'll just have to show my the error of my ways~
l-lol *Mun is loling forever at this not!flirting XD;;;* Also, I must head to bed bb tags in the AM!savior_n_blackJune 25 2009, 07:04:01 UTC
[Ichigo shakes his head with exaggerated dismay.]
Apparently! Come on, you. I'm showing you proper food!
[And without thinking, he stepped behind her a little, and set his hands on her shoulders to turn her in the right direction, then stepped up to walk beside her.]
Well...I guess I can overlook it this time...but it will require a proper reeducation about decent food.
[The little stand was one of those you stood up under the awning to eat from, but after a minute, or two, the owner produced a couple of old stools for them to sit at, while they ate.]
Alright, since you're a poor, deprived child, I'll get you a Calpico too.
[Two orders of Chashu shio ramen and two Calpico later, and Ichigo handed Mikaela a pack of hashi ( chopsticks ) with a superior, knowing look. Nothing as good as tasty ramen, and Calpico on a lazy day!]
/o/ Sorry it took me so long to respond <___>know_sacrificeJune 26 2009, 01:13:32 UTC
[Mikaela sat gratefully, smiling widely at the stand's owner, before returning her attention to Ichigo.] I must be deprived. I've never even heard of it!
[She can't help but be grateful, as she accepts the chopsticks, that she's eaten at enough chic sushi places in LA to know how to use them. She returns his look with one just as knowing, inhaling the scent wafting out of her bowl before anything else.]
[She follows suit, having a little bit of trouble with her chopsticks--she's used to sushi rolls, they're so compact and easy!--but manages well enough after a few minutes.]
Oh, get a job, probably. I mean, it'd be nice to go to college, but Mom and I really can't afford it, and it's too late for fall now already, unless I, like, went to a community college, or something...
[She looks a little melancholy as she says it. College would be nice, but she's gotta be realistic.]
[Ichigo just nodded. With the way he was going, he wouldn't be graduating highschool until he was forty! What with all the classes he was going to have to makeup, and summer school every summer from here on out. Being a shinigami cut into his studies a lot more than he liked to admit.]
That's cool. Just working, I mean. And, if you become a mechanic, then isn't that more to do with knowing engines than studying them?
[He's trying to be positive, here, and get her smile to come back?]
[She nods, looking less sad and more thoughtful.] It's definitely more hands-on than just, like. Learning the theories or whatever behind how they work.
[She pauses for a second, taking another bite of her ramen and swallowing it.] My dad always said that the best mechanics have a gift for it, that tinkering just comes naturally. [She laughed softly.] He's said being a greasemonkey is genetic, haha.

Yeah, likewise.
[The grin remains, even though he shoves his hands in his pockets.]
....Hungry? There's a great ramen stand pretty close.

Hell no! Aw, man, you've never had real ramen?
[Proper ramen is made with all fresh ingredients, and well made ramen is a wonderful thing, indeed!]

Heh! Plus being friends with Autobots gives you a whole new perspective on machines, I'm guessing.
Plus, y'know, being one, and all.
[Ichigo grinned, and shook his head.]
You made a cool robot, but you're right; you look better as a human.
