WHOO-HOO!!!
UPS delivered my new laptop just a few moments ago. It's an Acer Aspire-One Ultra Thin 10.1 inch Netbook. In a cinnamon red. It's amazing. And just a little over two pounds, so super portable too. My back is no longer going to die when I go to school. Whoo-hoo! I set up Windows XP already, and have it charging right now. Tomorrow I'm going to set up my wireless and all my communications software. Probably going to purchase Microsoft Office and Trend Micro 13 as well. And then I am going to download Celtx so I can screenwrite on my Acer.
This laptop also has a webcam. Oh fear, internet. Fear. Yes, I am going to do a shoutout of some sort, not sure what yet. I am going to horrify you all with my unexpected accent. Seriously.
So far today, I've only written 800 words. I'm almost to 38k. I'm just a little ahead of pace, but I'm wide awake and have a lot of day left to go.
Tomorrow morning (11am) I've got a hair appointment at the funky salon on the other side of the mall from my work. Then, later tomorrow night, I've got work. T_T I'm afraid I won't get much writing done tomorrow, with all the program loading, hair cut and styling and working, so I've got to do it tonight. Gonna get some caffeine to help that out. Yay.
Hopefully I pull a lot of extra. Maybe I can use Write or Die some more to pull it. The only problem is that I have to take time to reformat what I wrote on that site, which is irritating. Ugh. It's still a very quick 1k push every twenty minutes with little breaks in between. I'm going to try and do 3k tonight, maybe more if I can manage it.
I bought Movie Maker Magazine today. It's pretty damn awesome. Cram packed with information. Also bought a biography of John Stuart Mill. I am in love. John Stuart Mill is my specialty in philosophy. A whole block of my personal library is dedicated to him and his writings. <3
Ok, I'm going back to checking out Microsoft Office packages to see which one is going to have what I need and hurt my wallet the least. I did just have to buy a UNM parking permit and a laptop, after all.
