Ahh, but McGuinty was the one that pulled that little secret law out of his hat. No doubt at the behest of our fearless leader King Harper. But the fact remains, he did it and now he's refusing to discuss it. I'm holding him accountable for this mess too.

I've read a lot of first hand accounts, and followed along as best I could when things were happening live. It is still inexplicable to me that so much money was spent, and yet so much was either overlooked or ignored.

Why were people detained kept in handcuffs in some cases for 30 hours?

Why were the conditions people were held in worse than most prisons in third world countries?

Hell...people were given cups of piss when they begged for water for hours. Nice. Real nice.

If they intended on mass detentions, why didn't they spend some of that billion on a proper facility? Or lacking that, how about a little fucking compassion?

Why did so many people have their property damaged while in detention?

There were probably more cops than citizens that broke the law this past weekend. My respect for the police in this area has hit an all time low.

There are a lot of questions that remain about this weekend, and none of them will realistically be answered. Why didn't the cops follow the 50 or so Black Bloc protesters instead of arresting the peaceful protesters? Why did they, the next day, continue to arrest peaceful protesters?

I still always come back to: Why did it happen at all?
