Well, that explains it then. Must get quite boring at times when you're not able to sleep at all. Myself, I rarely sleep, but every once in awhile I need at least an hour.

Different beings have different sleep patterns. We don't all need hours to gain back our energy.

[In other words, Time Lords run off less sleep the normal organic beings, and they run for longer too.]
