I like that Kyra Sedgwick, Modern Family, Michael Emerson, Jane Lynch, and Tina and Alec were nominated...but, SO MANY SNUBS.
Nothing for LOST outside of Michael's nod? That is a DANG SHAME, Golden Globe people. That's one of those things that make me wonder about these award shows. If they were actually going on best of the season, LOST would have been in there. Season 5 was probably the most epic thing I've ever seen (even surpassing its former Season 4 epicness), but I guess some folks don't like time travel or having to think when watching Television.
I don't think it has to be said, but Elizabeth Mitchell not getting any love is one of the biggest Why the Faces? ever. She and Josh Holloway should have been nominated for Emmys as well, but you know, time travel, islands, and smoke monsters aren't very popular with these folks. I DON'T KNOW WHY ELIZABETH HAS NEVER BEEN NOMINATED. And, for her to be snubbed in Season 5 when she gave some of the best performances of her life (and on Television)? Baffles me. Just...baffles me.
Amy Poehler getting snubbed? OUTRAGEOUS. This made me maybe even madder than the LOST snubs. Season 2 of Parks & Recreation has been one of THE most consistent seasons I've seen out of any TV show ever. It's been consistently funny and the cast has been consistently great, including Amy Poehler. Amy should be nominated and win awards for
this scene, alone. It's probably funnier than anything Tina Fey has done this season, and that's coming from a HUGE Tina Fey fan.
Other than that, I guess I don't give a crap, but it's a shame when those who SHOULD be nominated, don't.
