The sudden wind blowing past his ear broke Oshitari’s shallow slumber. Opening his eyes, there were two pages worth of words half an inch away from them. After picking up the book of riddles Atobe lent him, he yawned.

They were supposed to help him for the test tomorrow, not help him sleep. Looking around, Oshitari grinned when finding slender fingers settled on his chest. He gazed up towards the blue sky.

An hour or so may have passed since they decided to sit on one of the many park’s benches. Was Sakuno reading all that time then? His head was on her lap and she didn’t notice the even breathing break. Rolling over to his side, Oshitari cuddled against her stomach and brought her hand to his lips.

Sakuno appeared from behind the book with lips parted slightly. She smiled, placing it on the bench then running her fingers through soft, dark hair.

“I feel lazy today.”

“Hm, it’s not surprising. The air is seems warmer than usual.”

She stared at the sky, not knowing why. Sakuno felt at peace whenever they came to the park. The times were rare but Oshitari tried to make time from his tennis practices. The girl was happy Hyotei’s captain was kind to his team members.

“Atobe-san is very kind to let everyone off from practice.”

Oshitari snorted lazily; the only reason there practice was cancelled was because of Atobe’s Tezuka obsession. Atobe saw Tezuka at the mall and wanted to know where Seigaku’s captain shopped.

Oshitari stretched before wrapping his arms around Sakuno’s petit waist.

“I don’t want to get up.”

“Neither do I…”

“Hey, Sakuno.”

“Yes?”

He smirked, “What question can you never answer ‘no’ to?”

She frowned, recognizing the twisted words. “Isn’t it what question can you never say ‘yes’ to?”

Oshitari pulled himself up and leaned over the smaller teen. His glasses glinted and an uncomfortable sensation matured inside of her. He laughed.

“Know the answer, Sakuno?”

“…Chocolate?”

“Oh no, something much sweeter.”

He moved closer to her and she moved away.

“Ano…I-I don’t know.”

Oshitari smirked and rested a hand on the armrest and the other on her cheek.

“Silly Sakuno, it’s a kiss…”

Closing his eyes, the male leaned forward but confusion settled in when feeling nothing. After he opened them, he found her running across the grass. Oshitari sighed and laid back down on the bench.

He was too lazy too run after her. He tossed the book of riddles on the ground and welcomed sleep.

“I’ll get you later, Sakuno.”
