The Past Week
Well, well, well. I haven't updated in quite a while. I had Link training on September 1st after Beaver Day.
Sunday night I spent at Megan's. Megan, Rachel, Sarah, and I all squeezed into a 2-person tent but Megan and Rachel ended up sleeping inside. It was SO FREEZING outside! I woke up like every half hour because I had a migraine. Oh well. It was lots of fun. In the morning we used the dance mats to play Dance Dance Revolution, which was cool. I'm actually getting a little better.
The Cohens were having a garage sale, and Megan had gotten a new bookshelf so she was getting rid of her old one for only $5!!! I bought it, took it home, painted it yellow, and filled the entire thing with books. So now I have 2 bookshelves full of books in my room. Then today we went to Target and I got a chair which is kinda like a bean bag, but it has a back. It's dark blue and SUPER comfy. I put it next to my new bookshelf and sat in it and read for a long time.
Also today was the freshmen's first day of school and so I had to be there for Link. The group I share with Ellen and Bethany is pretty cool-- there are 7 girls and 5 guys. One of the guys wasn't there today though. One of the kids in our group is apparently a math genius! Haha. I think all 12 of the freshmen are taller than Ellen, Bethany, and I. But anyway, I think our group had a lot more fun with us than I did when I was being shown around by my Link Leaders last year.
I honestly can't wait for school tomorrow. I'm not nervous at all except for Lit. Sem. 2. I really hope Elly's still in my class after her schedule got changed! I don't know what I would do without her! When school starts, I don't know how much I'll be able to update this, but I'll try.
P.S. Oma got 4 tickets (for her, me, my mom, and Leah) to the Tour of Gymnastics Champions U.S. Women's Gymnastics Team Nov. 7 performance at the Rose Garden. YAY! Oh my gosh. I am so friggin' excitecd. I am going to save every single penny I make from babysitting and Kumon until then so I can buy a shirt like the one I have from '96 and some other stuff. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE CARLY PATTERSON, COURTNEY KUPETS, MOHINI BHARDWAJ, COURTNEY MCCOOL, TERIN HUMPHREY, AND ANNIA HATCH IN PERSON!!!!!!
