Yesterday was an AMAZING day. My mom and I went to the democratic elections office in Beaverton and bought tons of pro-Kerry/Edwards stuff. I got a pin, a bumper sticker, a poster, and a sticker. :) I met this really nice lady there named Carrie (hehe... easy to remember) and I told her that I'm part of a high school community service club. Well, she said they always need more volunteers and would love to have our club help out with the campaign. She also invited me to a picnic on Saturday where I can learn more about how to help out. So excited!

Also on Saturday, a few school friends and I are going to hang out and go bowling. It'll be me, "Beast", "Peach", Julia, and "Billy". I hope it's fun. Of course, it has to be with those crazy people. :)

Yesterday, the Olympics were FABULOUS. Paul Hamm-- oh my gosh! He made the biggest mistake EVER on vault: on the landing, he slid way over to the right side, sat down, and had to be caught by the judges so he wouldn't slip off the platform! After vault, he only had two events left: parallel bars and horizontal bar. On parallel bars he received an 8.37, which was the second highest score on any event in the entire men's competition this year. And then came high bar. He needed an 8.25 to win gold, but only an 8.662 to get bronze. And he did it: he got another 8.37!!!!!!!! After he got off high bar, he knew he had won a medal, but thought it was bronze. He went back to where his coaches were and one of his coaches said "You're the Olympic Champion!". Paul didn't believe him. Hehehe. He was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO amazing. It's unbelievable. After the awful vault dismount, he was in last place. In only two events, he made up that score and got the gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two men from South Korea, Kim Dae Eun and Yang Tae Young earned silver and bronze.

What have I done so far today?? I went to Fred Meyer's and got all my school supplies: 6 binders (I already have one and don't need one for Symphonic Band), pens, pencils, spiral notebooks, and a bookcover. And now I have to go get everything ready for school, even though it doesn't start for almost 3 weeks!
