why are all the morbidly obese people on Discovery Health's show "Super Obese" the most religious people in the world??
obese woman: i'm getting plastic surgery to remove the lumps on my right leg from Lymphodema (a disease that causes limbs to swell due to cut off circulation from the lymph fluid).
interviewer: do you think the possible complications (i.e. death, amputation,...) are worth it?
obese woman: yes. definetly.
interviewer: and why's that?
obese woman: because i have faith in this surgery. and i have faith in god. (turns to side where dad is sitting and asks him if her cat is dead yet).
by the way, For Lymphodema being such a supposedly "RARE" disease, they sure talk a lot about it on TV, and that is something I would add to my list of "what makes me anxious" to mention to my therapist, except i don't think she would know how to remedy that particular anxiety. fear of fear... fear of the fear of the fear of contracting a sudden swelling of the limb?
