alas. as with everything, the good comes with the bad.

FINALLY. i have my masters from potsdam. i completed my orals. but, not without a hitch.
the stupid kid behind the counter wouldnt let me use my debt card along with a major credit card to pay for the car and then the deposit. which i had done before. at the exact same place. ARG. and...the place closed earlier than its stated hours. leaving me having to drop it off after hours. and thus accruing another day. so, needless, i could not get the car.
so after freaking out in the parking lot and frantically making phone calls, long story short, julie taylor saved my ass. 5:30pm, i walked home. purchased a bus ticket. 6:45pm i was on my way to the bus terminal. arrived in albany around 1:15am after the worst bus ride ever...john came to pick me up so julie could sleep. julie drove my ass all the way to and from pdam. we left a little after 6am. arrived in potsdam at 9:45am. left potsdam around 11:30am. dropped me off at albany and i arrived in boston..well, newton, around 8pm. went home. got drunk. wow.
but, i have the degree. after a year. oy.

oh. and then the next morning i discovered the external LCD on my phone was completely cracked on the inside. dead. soon, the inside LCD went nuts. then died. great.
fortunately...all my pictures/videos were on a memory card and i wrote down my contacts before it completely died.
thing is, ive dropped the damn thing before. but not this time. i havent recently. i just woke up to what once was a fully functional phone now badly injured.
RIP phone #9. you were still so young.
guess i'm asking for my birthday present from my parents early.
only 7 months old, purchased to replace the phone that was stolen. after having fallen into a toilet...and survived. which was the replacement for a defective phone in which the display went dead. and...you get the point....

just like cars, any phone that enters my hands will have a shortened lifespan.
