Okay, I'm probably asking too many questions now, but this time it's serious.

I'm about to turn eighteen. Am I going to suddenly get married or something?

And, uh, when's graduation? I was almost done, now I have to go back to school? I was going to skip that college thing and just work.

...I've been wondering when the end of school was myself. But I'm not lucky enough to be graduating, I'm only a sophomore.

I also wondered that if, for some horrible reason, I'm here till I'm 18, if the same thing would happen...

Yeah, I want to get out of school! It's annoying. Skipping classes is hard work.

You're a sophomore so you're, what, fifteen?

16 now, but my birthday was only back in January.

Yeah, make sure... make sure that if you skip class, you attend every few days or you might get droned. I learned the hard way.

Yeah, yeah. I show up. I just read dirty magazines behind my books, though.

[He chuckles.] I don't know, I've never really been to a high school like this, only for a few months before I came to Mayfield. I was home schooled before this, so... I guess I've been doing my best to pay attention, get the whole experience. Though lately... I've been seeing less of a point in trying to get good grades here.

Yeah, what's the point? Just show up and turn some papers in with some scribbling. I don't think they really look at them.

It might work on the drone teachers, but not the others!

I have to come to school to go to blitzball practice at the very least. It's not soccer, but, it's still fun.

Oh, it's this... completely crazy sport. Like soccer underwater. I can hardly believe I'm training to play it, honestly. [Laughs.] Coach Jecht, he's in charge of it. He's a professional player of it where he's from. You could always come check it out sometime.

I might! It sounds like something out of a video game... Soccer underwater? Crazy.

When can I watch?

Ha, it really does, doesn't it? We play after school at the pool. You're more than welcome to come by! We're still trying to recruit more players.

What if I suck at swimming?

Ah, well, I wasn't exactly the best swimmer either, but I'm learning. It's all part of the training. You also have to learn how to hold your breath for a long time. I've actually gotten really better at it these last few weeks!

Well, I guess I'd better get started if I'm going to impress the good-looking girls of America.
