Making the most of the last weeks of my college experience. On Tuesday, Jenna cutely invited me to Hayride. Bit of a mix up with Meg, but Jenna is awesome. We also went to Hooters to celebrate. Her idea. Wednesday, we got to record a new song. I'm so happy with the job so far. For the first time we got to record how we wanted to. Our guitars and drums sound great. I cannot wait for the finished product.
Thursday was a decent day. I got some Universal promotion done and just kicked it. I also went to an etiquette class. I think I learned more useful tips there than I have in my last year of college. Friday was amazing. I went to my fourth Hayride. We started pre-gaming at the Kappa Delta house. I love it there and I want to move in. Just a bunch of drunk girls in western wear. I love Kappa Delta. They aren't the stereotypical sorority girls. They're just awesome girls that love to have fun. No drama, just a good time.
The Hayride was at the same place as Sigma Delta Tau's, so I knew my way around. Jenna was such a great date. We got drunk and line danced and ate BBQ. The Hayride was awesome too. I accidentally used the girls bathroom which was just funny. My decorated Bubba Keg was also wear I left it on the bus.
Saturday, I chilled and got my life together. Laundry, cleaned the apartment, watched USF beat Syracuse and cooked some Tortellini. That night we had an FBR Powerhour. I miss those. Good seeing everyone.
Sunday, I volunteered for Lifepath's Charity event "Island Night". It was such a great experience. I got there and assisted the sound guy. We got the mixer and wireless mics all set up. Jacksons was set up really nice too. It was themed like a cruise ship. There were also belly dancers and Flamenco dancers.
The people watching was definitely the best part. Some of the wealthiest people in Tampa were there. it's funny because I don't spend a lot of time around adults, but I realize they ae just older versions of my friends. There was a Mark there and Matt there and a Joe. Just funny. Charity events: Get a bunch of rich people in a room, feed them some drinks, give them a public opportunity to show off their money and buy donated items. Everyone wins. I had a lot of fun too. Wine and sushi. Volunteering; an overall beneficial experience that makes you feel better about yourself than anything you could buy. Seriously.
And I just got an e-mail to interview for a product manager position with a company called Tech Data. Damn. Guess it's that time in life. I'm going to miss college a lot. On that note; it's veterans day and I'm not going to waste a second of it. Off to the pool. This week; Flats, two shows, job interview, football game, etc.
