A rather different fiber auction

I am a bit of a fiber maniac. I spin, I knit, I knit yarn I spin, I buy yarn and have what we call the Wall of Fiber, the Wall of Fiber Mark 2, and the Hidden Stashes of Fiber That Are Cleverly Disguised As Furniture.

In order to help out here, I am offering a few things:

Auction A- For spinners I will create custom batts or blends of fiber depending on your preferences, or put together a sampler pack if you prefer to blend your own. In my stash I have vast quantities of...alpaca(both white and black, and the black is a whole fleece), baby camel, camel, silk(in about any variety possible), wool(again, pretty much every variety possible, including some whole fleeces!), mohair(in every color you can imagine), pygora, angora, bamboo, linen, cotton, buffalo(harvested from local animals who are farmed to repopulate the prairie areas of national parks, and yes, harvested from where they scratch themselves!), and so many other things I am forgetting because I don't dare try to get everything out right now. If I do, I might start spinning, and that would be bad. I blend the batts first with a set of hand carders then on a drum carder, so you will be getting beautiful, ready to spin batts! If you prefer the sampler pack I will put as much fun stuff as I can in there, and trust me, it will be amazing! I can dye the fiber for you, in some cases the fiber is already dyed, or leave it for you to dye after spinning.

Auction B- For knitters, crocheters, and other artists I will custom spin yarn for you for a project, depending on what your final bid is. See Auction A for the list of materials I have available. Right now I have close to 3000 yards of a 2 ply worsted weight baby camel yarn spun that is absolutely luscious. I have 4 wheels, a Louet S45, a Lendrum DT with all of the special add ons, a Lennox Bonnie(no longer made, sadly, but an amazing wheel, and by far my favorite), and the ever quirky Hitchhiker. I do ply everything either on the Lendrum or the Lennox, it just depends on what it is. I can do anything from a funky art yarn to fine lace weight and anything in between. Along with the natural colored fibers I listed in Auction A I have a huge collection of dyed fibers. When I say huge, I do mean huge. I have fibers dyed with traditional natural dyes, with bright funky colors, carbon bamboo, painted silk hankies, dyed mohair locks, and so much more!

I would also love to offer a custom knit item for auction, item to be determined by the final bid. I am going to attempt to add photos to this post later today of some of the items I have made- a cabled hooded cardigan, fair isle skirt, several different lace shawls, socks, hats, purses, mittens, you name it, I've probably knit it! I would think a fair isle skirt(really, it's beautiful, made of wool, hand wash only, and unfortunately, no matter how hard I have tried, this pattern is not a good candidate for anything but a wool yarn, so it's not possible to make it with acrylic or another vegan friendly yarn) or cardigan(same disclaimer, but acrylic might work pretty well) would start around $75. A smaller item, a lower price. I am willing to knit one custom item, and please let me know if you need in time for a holiday and which holiday that is!

For Auction A bids start at $15. For Auction B, bids start at $25 and the final price will help decide yardage and all of that. For the last one, well, I guess that might be a bit of a free for all, and we'll see where that goes! I just ask to keep in mind that unless you want something made out of acrylic yarn(which really does not work for things like lace shawls), materials costs are usually around $40-$60 for a sweater or shawl(depending), $12-$20 for a pair of socks, and it can all depend on what you want for a hat and scarf set!

I hope this works! I will pay for shipping and bidding ends midnight Friday November 12th, CST.
