Meyer lemons and trees

How could I not do something to help the woman who saved Edward Cat?

(image shamelessly stolen from a google image search)

So my parents have this absolutely enormous Meyer lemon tree in their front yard that grows hundreds of softball-sized lemons each year without any intervention whatsoever from us. :D  I know it's not much, but I figured some folks out there might be interested in a little bit of Lemonzilla in one form or another.

A note on Meyer lemons: they are larger than conventional lemons and a bit sweeter as they are a cross (in ages past) of a lemon and some sort of orange or mandarin.  The zest is less... zesty, but I prefer the juice to conventional lemon juice, and you get a LOT of it from these lemons.  (I still have jars of juice I canned from last year's crop.)  Excellent for lemonade, marmalade, tea, or pretty much anything else you do with lemons :)

Auction #1
One medium USPS flat-rate box packed with as many delicious lemons as will fit.  I imagine this will be at least ten lemons, though possibly fewer if they are especially huge.  Though not certified organic, we do not treat the tree with any pesticides, fertilizers, or herbicides, so you can consider the lemons about as organic as they come.  Lemons should ship between November 19-29 depending on when they ripen.  If the winner wishes to make someone else a Christmas gift of the lemons instead, I can hold off picking and shipping until one week before Christmas (and include a card!)  Lemons will ship clean and carefully wrapped, though perhaps not as fancily as the fruit-of-the-month sort of things ;)
Starting bid: $5
Number available: 2 (top two bids will both get lemons!)

[Edit: ok, lemons are apparently insanely popular.  I may be able to offer more than two boxes, depending on how many lemons are still on the tree when I get there.  This is a bit of an off year for the tree as a storm knocked a bunch of flowers off, and my mom is auctioning off some for her teachers' organization as well, so I don't want to offer more than two boxes at the moment and risk not having enough for everyone.  However, if there are still lots of lemons available after I send out the first two boxes, I'll contact the third (and maybe fourth) place bidder to see whether they still want to buy in at their bid.]

Auction #2
One rooted Meyer Lemon cutting.  This is a small tree approx. 6" tall with a well-developed root system.  It will ship priority mail bubblewrapped in a bag of soil.  All it needs is a small pot (or yogurt container, etc) and a sunny window!  I will also include care instructions.  It will ship the Monday following the close of the auction.
Starting bid: $4

Auction #3
4 Meyer Lemon cuttings ready to root, with instructions as to how to do so.  I have had enormous success getting cuttings to root, with a 90% rate so far (and the other 10% haven't failed, they just haven't rooted yet).  With four cuttings, you're virtually guaranteed to get at least one tree, and more than likely you'll wind up with three or all four rooting.  Cuttings will ship first class in a bubble wrap envelope the Monday following the close of the auction.
Starting bid: $3
Number available: 3 (top three bids will all get cuttings!)

IMPORTANT: Due to citrus embargos, I cannot ship lemons, cuttings, or trees to California, Texas, Arizona, or Florida, nor can I ship outside the U.S.

These auctions will end on November 5 at noon PST.   Please make sure that if you are outbidding someone, you reply to THEIR latest bid, so they know they've been outbid!

end date: nov 5, fruit, meyers lemons, cuttings, trees
