I’m waiting.
You’re not coming back.
I came into your life, I admit. Like a storm, some romantic poets would claim; it’s when the universe is shaken, when a single stream of energy flows in between. Storms come as they go, leaving only destruction and despair behind. Don’t they?
I can’t.
You’re not the one to blame.
It’s me, again. It’s always about me. I was nothing but a storm into your life, a strong brush of rain against your perfect, statuesque face. You wiped your eyes, and you moved on.
Just like that, a trail of tears left behind.

“Don’t be afraid; it cannot harm you.”
His words, soothing as always, can’t be denied. She has always feared the storm, its almighty touch of death and decay. But as he stretches his hand, waiting, she cannot step back.
They walk to the rain, and she feels like running. Keeping up the pace with him would not be possible, she knows. Yet, for a split second, she wishes she could.
“Can you feel it running, pulsing in your veins?”
I can, she thinks. Though there’s already a stronger state of chemistry. Not even storm can change that, it’s for lifetime.

She entered his life like a storm; nothing could stop her.
(and he never would)
“I know who I am, I know what I am: stubborn, determined, and practically insane.”
He acknowledges, slightly bowing his head. He also smiles.
“I know who you are, and what you are, too.”
Rising his eyes, he waits; somewhere, at the back of his mind, he fears it.
“If I come and I go, like a hurricane, you’re that touch of soft, dry wind that always carries me home. Home, where my heart is.”
Foreheads touching, they breathe. Home is where they are together.
