Rosewood: Introduction

Dec 23, 2009 21:52

I'm still going to continue the Dasani Legacy, but I want to also work on a prosperity challenge. I'm not sure how long until I have an update for the Dasani Legacy, because right now I'm really interested in this challenge. So far I only have the families in their homes and I haven't started playing them yet or even fully furnishing the houses, but I wanted to post the introduction with summaries about the families so that I can show what I'm working on and reveal that I'm still alive, evne though my last update was almost two weeks ago.
Anyway, on with the introduction to the six families of the Rosewood Prosperity Challenge!

The Hart Family

Joshua and Kendall Hart have been together ever since Kendall was a young toddler, and Kendall's mother died, leaving Kendall's grandfather with sole custody of her. Though Joshua is a Romantic Sim who wants to woohoo twenty different Sims, he loves spending most of his time with his granddaughter, working side-by-side in their small garden. But Kendall is starting to grow up, and she likes spending time doing other things, like playing sports and being with friends. With his granddaughter out of the house more, Joshua gets more chances to look for some ladies.

The Montgomery Family

London Montgomery came to Earth after the destruction of her alien planet and everyone she knew. Moving to Rosewood seemed like a great idea for London, since all she wanted to do was fit in and seem like a normal human, although a purple-colored one. Using the fortune she raised from selling her spaceship, London moved into a nice apartment and is ready to start school and to concentrate on getting into a great college so that she can further herself in life. When she's not hitting the books, London is also concentrating on getting a job in the Adventure career and rising to the top and making loads of friends with her outgoing personality.

The Walker Family

After the death of his daughter, Roger moved to Rosewood, his childhood home, hoping to raise his new family in a happy environment. His oldest grandson, Jon, however, isn't going to make this easy for his grandfather; Jon is used to be the man in the house after his father left them, and he isn't ready to give up the job to Roger easily. Luckily for Roger, Jon is busy trying to rack up twenty lovers at once. Roger isn't really ready to have a family again - he's too busy trying to have fifty dream dates. James, despite these two bad role models, is growing up to be an outgoing and musically-talented child, when he's not trying to be a mini-Jon. The triplets, Caitlin, Jenna, and Missy, are just trying to learn their life skills, which can be neglected by their guardians sometimes.

The Wu Family

When Robert forced his wife and daughter to move to Rosewood so that he could open a video game store, one of his childhood dreams, it put a strain on his already bad relationship with his wife and daughter. Robert wants to also become a Professional Party Guest, so sometimes the store is left neglected or forced onto his wife and daughter; Robert is also very playful, and sometimes bored with his wife. Anna, on the other hand, is really close to leaving her husband and looking for love somewhere else, along with becoming a Rock God. Jade is started to become overly-stressed with all of the fighting at home, and she's throwing all her attention onto having five top level businesses when she's older and having a boy who really loves her, unlike her parents.

The Hale Family

Ashley and Henry seemed to have perfect lives; Henry was doing well becoming a Business Tycoon, and Ashley was great at running their household well. But the arrival of her brother, Sean, has changed things a little - he hasn't had a lot of good luck recently, yet he feels quallified for giving advice to everyone. When Sean's not busy trying to have fifty first dates, he's helping Mike realize girls and his musical talent, along with helping Ella realize that life can be more fun - Ella even wants to have fifty first dates just like her uncle. Sean also suggests that Henry may not be the perfect husband, and it's getting on Henry's nerves - a lot.

The Benson Family

After her husband left her, Meredith packed up her old house and took her children and mother with her. Now she's trying to start a home bakery, even though it'll be hard with their current finacial status. She loves her family, and she hopes for six grandchildren. She also wants to protect her family, especially her youngest, Toby, who she hopes will forget his father. Meanwhile, Cornelia is trying to settle back into family life, and she's hoping to raise pets - six pets, in fact. She wants help from those pets, in the form of six top-level careers for all pets; of course, first she needs to find some pets. Mona is too busy to help with that want - she wants to become a Hall of Famer, and she's doing her best to earn money for her family so that she can just forget all about her father and her old life.

So, those are the six families of Rosewood: the Harts, the Montgomerys, the Walkers, the Wus, the Hales, and the Bensons. I hope to have the first few days in Rosewood soon, but you'll have to wait for after Christmas and the weekend - I won't have any time to post then. Hopefully I'll have enough pictures before then, and I can have an update next week - we'll see!.
