The Taylor-Davis Family: Week Two

Jan 25, 2015 16:02

From the round-up of Week One, this is what happened in the Taylor-Davis household last time: Delaina had a few different relationships in between her journey up the political ladder, and the fling with Trinity Royal resulted in Leo Taylor, who Delaina has raised alone so far. After her week was over, she ended up getting involved with Jesse Davis despite a very rocky start, and after spending a good portion of the week at Jesse's house, they decided that he should move in with Delaina and Leo.

We start off with some adorable bonding! Leo might not be Jesse's, but if he's going to be his new stepfather or something, then they need to act like a cute little family together!

Delaina is so happy about how things are going! She has a great job, an adorable son, and a wonderful new boyfriend is definitely not a jerk anymore. What could possibly be better?
Of course, she shouldn't be so happy, but anything could happen...

Like this!

And THIS! Yes, the fire KILLED MY FOUNDER! I was totally freaking out, as was Jesse, and I forgot to make him beg for her life, so DELAINA DIED!

But never fear! After all, I have the Sim Blender to get this thing miracles happen!

This was all the money that the family had at the moment, but I just assumed that it would be enough for everything to work out. It's over $2,000!

Um, yeah, it wasn't enough. Delaina was resurrected as a freaking zombie!
I know, having a zombie sounds interesting and different and all that, but I've never played with a zombie before and I didn't know if zombies could be pregnant and I really wanted at least one Delaina-Jesse kid, so I quickly left the game without saving and replayed it. Sorry if you wanted some zombie fun!

But why would you want that when you can have this cuteness?
Jesse: You know, I'm so happy that your skin isn't decayed and you don't smell like a corpse.
Delaina: Why would you ever think of that, you weirdo - there's no such thing as zombies or the undead.
Jesse: Just enjoy the sweet moment, my darling living person.
Delaina: You're lucky you're cute...

And another good reason for her to be normal - there's a baby on the way!

I missed the first pop after she got home from work, but a pop-up quickly reminded me that she's expecting another bundle of joy - good thing she got a promotion before taking time off then.
And the guy that she brought home from work caused some minor problems - she had chemistry with him and even had the want to fall in love with him for a little while (? nothing even happened?), so I intervened and quickly sent him on his way. We don't need any of that drama!

I caught pop number 2! And what a scenic image it is...

Graham apparently ignored my plea for no drama and decided to show up. If you recall, he had a brief flirtation with Delaina, but nothing ever really happened other than a random makeout and he's now in a pretty committed relationship with Trinity, his housemate and mother of his triplets, so you'd think he'd be over Delaina by now, but apparently not.
Luckily, he was ignored.

Babies being born is all the drama we need, anyway!

I might want to readjust the odds on the Triplets & Quads hack...

Luckily, it actually was twins. I'm not sure which is which - I think Jesse is holding Owen, a brown-haired boy, and Delaina is holding Olivia, a black-haired girl, but it's hard to tell since they have the same S3 skintone and such.

A pregnant Trinity showed up as well, not for drama, but to see her son grow up! Leo hasn't gotten to know his mother much yet, so it's high time that he does!

And what odd mother-son conversations these are.

After his first day of school, Leo brought home this adorable little townie named Kayla Archer. Could there be love in the air in the future? If there's not, I just might force this adorable couple together...

Not much has been happening other than Leo bonding with his other mother and new best friend, so it's already time for the twin's birthday!

Isn't Owen a little cutie? He got his mother's hair color, his father's eye color, and both parent's skintone.

The equally adorable Olivia, however, seemed to have gotten everything from her father - I forgot to check if she got elf ears as well, so we'll have to wait and see.

And now for some adorable family bonding with all the adorable family!
In unrelated news, I apologize for the overuse of the word "adorable" in this update - blame on the Sims, not me!

For very good reasons, I started freaking out when another tree caught fire, but luckily the rain quickly put it out. Lightning, I hate you - you're only good for being unique scars on boy wizards!

Kayla came over again and more bonding was had.

Aren't they perfect together?! They can be adorable childhood sweethearts who show their children pictures of them when they were young!
*continues making plans without consulting my Sims*
Of course, in my defense, they honestly do like each other.

I got a bit worried when Jesse, he of no mechinal skill points, decided to try his hand at fixing the family computer.

Luckily, he didn't end up shocking or killing himself - success!

Since Delaina has been doing so well with her job lately, it seemed like the kitchen was due for a bit of redecorating.
Decorating is not my strongest skill, and decorating kitchens is really far down on that list, but whatever, I like it!

Leo doesn't discriminate between his two mothers - he bonds with them both equally!

And he loves his half-siblings as well, as evidenced by the adorableness cuteness that is him teaching Olivia a nursery rhyme!

Well, that's it for the new Taylor-Davis family this second week! Next up is Jesse's sister, Vanessa, and her family at Jesse's old home.

Notes:
- I was hoping that there might be another wedding, but neither Delaina nor Jesse had any wants to get engaged, let alone married. Maybe that'll change next week, but I won't force them to get married unless at least one of them wants it.
- As for the last name thing - Jesse is still a Davis, but Owen and Olivia are both Taylors because of their mother. I think I might change Owen's last name to Davis just so that the name doesn't die out, but I haven't quite decided. Maybe they should have another kid and the twins can be Davises and that kid and Leo can be Taylors...
- I'm serious about Kayla and Leo - since Kayla is a townie, she can age up with Leo and I'll just have to cross my fingers that they have chemistry with each other!
