A Facebook Note from Rob, RE: Sesaon 7

Most of you have probably already seen this, but I thought I'd share since it pertains to the fate of Numb3rs.

i have to say its a great feeling knowing so many of u r passionate about 'numb3rs'. i am in the midst of directing the second to last ep of this season and am typing this bleery eyed after a 16 hour day. the ep. is called 'growing up' and it's pretty disturbing subject matter. odd finding myself having to contemplate some of the darker aspects of our species. not material i would normally gravitate toward. never the less having a great time crafting the piece w/all the seriously talented people who help make the show what it is and our fine as wine guest cast.

as far season 7 goes, here's what i know. if cbs can come up w/a cheaper show to put on fri nite at 10p (u.s.), that they feel is worth the risk to give up our great big beautiful audience...,they will. they r considering giving up programing for fri at 10 for cheaper (reality fare, talk show, etc (how well did that work for nbc?) and also giving up on programing scripted shows on fri day primetime at all. so, come late april/early may, when the see what they're "developing season" yeilds, we will know our fate. the good thing is; this is easier said then done...

meanwhile, we've got some great shows to air that i hope u enjoy. thanks for all the support. peace, rob m

Soooo... when we write to CBS we should tell them what an absolute WASTE reality TV programming is and the ratings are going to suck worse than ever and no one will watch TV on Friday ever again when you replace intelligent TV like Numb3rs with mindless reality dribble and talk shows, of which CBS already has plenty? Or, if they are going to replace Friday 10pm with crap... move Numb3rs to a better night. :)
