Finding driftwood after dark is harder than Claire thought it would be. The easiest way to collect it is to wait until after she's tripped over it and grab it then. Luckily, she's clumsy enough to have found an armful, and carts it down to the beach. Flattening a space in the sand and stacking the wood doesn't take long, and when that's finished, she sits down on the sand and takes out a bag of marshmallows, pulling one out and spearing it on a stick to roast.

Now all she needs is someone to light the fire, and company.
