Here is where we will be posting a summary of all that we have discussed and what we are planning with the campaign. So if you were absent for a day or two and just want to catch up by doing a quick read through. It will be updated every couple of days, depending on how many new things arise.
APRIL 22
1. Organize groups to go to Subway and express their love for the show.
- Make a poll of the most populated cities to figure out where is most convient for fans
- Figure out a date/time
- Look into getting a cast memeber to show up if we hold one in L.A.
-Yvette is our best bet
2. Make an "Asteroid Collision Countdown" website.
- Will countdown the time from now until when NBC holds the Upfront, scheduled May 12th, 2014
- Tag line "Only you can stop the asteroid from wiping out humanity"
- Still looking for webhost
3. Try to build the fanbase
- Talk to everyone you can about watching community
- "Meet the Charecters" video where we introduce all the main cast and inlude some of their best lines
- Make a action style fan-trailer about an asteroid making it's way toward earth and the Community characters fighting against it.
- Use other NBC shows in a video convincing people to watch Community.
- Have a video listing what makes the show great and say "Here's why you should watch Community". Compile of favorite moments to get people to laugh.
4. Save Greendale Stars/Posters Project
- Make paper stars and posters that say "Save Greendale" on it.
- Maybe take pictures with posters standing infront of Subway
- Mail our stars to NBC
- Make a video with everyone's pictures to the Dave Mathews song "Ants Marching". Maybe make it a victory video when/if Community gets renewed.
5. Updates
- There is a twitter campaign going on brought on by the Save Community blog to tweet #sixseasonsandamovie every day this week at the same time to get it trending.
- We had a White House petition going around that got removed, so we moved it to Change.org. Spread the word on it, get as many people as you can to sign it. Try tweeting it to cast members because they might retweet. Gillian Jacobs retweeted the White House petition, so we know that they are willing to help get it noticed.
