Peja Stojakovic. Yes, he does disappear sometimes but he is still, in my opinion, the most accurate shooter in the NBA. (3PT was the area NOH needed help with the most)
Bobby Jackson. Primary role is to back Chris Paul up. Little chance to play the wing with him. Decent outside shooter. Should stay out of IL.
Good 2007 draft
Hilton Armstrong. Not the strongest of the strongest but makes up for it with his huge wingspan- rebounds and blocks. Impressive athleticism.
Cedric Simmons. Refer to Armstrong. Plays hard.
Very hot trade coming up (not official):
Tyson Chandler of the Chicago Bulls will be heading to New Orleans in exchange for veteran P.J. Brown and up-and-coming star JR Smith.
Dilemma: Who shall start the 2 for the Hornets? Peja is a lock at 3. Desmon can't play the 2. Best bet: Kirk Snyder
A new environment for Chandler will let David West do his thing. Solid frontcourt.
The two rookies will benefit from playing behind Chandler and West. Excellent four-man rotation. Frontline is a lock for many years to come.
CHRIS PAUL. He deserves to have his own bullet point here. ROY! ROY! ROY!
The loss of Speedy Claxton does not hurt much as they got Jackson for cheap.
Key points:
Go as far as they can before Peja's and Bobby's times run out.
Young bigs look very promising. Make it work.
Depth of wing players are doubtful if it wasn't for the Peja signing.
Decide what to do with other youngsters in Brandon Bass (just re-signed) and Arvydas Macijauskas.
Are Aaron Williams and Marc Jackson on their way out? Looks like it. One should stay for veteran leadership, a role P.J. Brown does.
