Normally we don't reply to 11 year old asswipes, but this kid, by far, takes the cake, and I just had to
Kid:
"I wanted to comment on the avril article, You should av spent more time addressing the real punk bands like; fuckin TBS(if you dont know those initials you suck), thusrday, the distillers, something corporate, cursed cake, the yellow lads, white flag, anti flag, umm the ramones, black flag(hittin the oldies now), nofx, the clash, the vandals shit umm red dye, crystal machine, and so many more, man you guys would probally get much more feed back though. And I am sorry to say(well not really caz i hate rap anywho) but i looked in your music category and saw 2pac now when i was lookin around the site it seemed to me you guys were punk but I guess not! I dont really have nothin against avril but most the things you guys said about her was right. I am no band groupee im in a band myself we v got 2 labels right out of rancho cordova california getting ready to produce are next cd next year and are progress is an above average progress of the n e w starting bands. I think this site has potential but should probally spend a little more time complementing the real punk or "rap" or w e you guys want instead of all that negativity because netters(ppl who surf the net) more an likely dont want to read so much negative so that was what i had to say. SINCERELY Joey Ivaro Hawk
PS. and i dont appreciate you putting TONY HAWK's name to use as you did in the avril article you could put so many other skaters in place but you chose tony why? because his name is the most talked of in the skater community(shows how much you know about skaters)."
My reply:
"I didn't write the article, but like so many other brilliant, and by brilliant, I mean retarded, readers out there, you managed to e-mail me as well, but since you decided to bitch and moan about the whole site as opposed to just the article, I figured I'd actually reply. First of all, I don't give a fuck what you think about any of us liking 2pac, or any kind of rap for that matter, and I don't care about whether that makes me a 'true punk' as you stated. As for your comment on the fact that the article should have addressed real bands, (LIKE TBS- CAUSE UMM... THEY'RE REALLY FUCKING PUNK ROCK AREN'T THEY, DICKLIPS?) here's a newsflash for you: IT WAS AN ARTICLE ABOUT AVRIL LAVIGNE- NOT REAL PUNK BANDS. Get a clue, and a spell checker. You think we should spend more time complimenting bands? If you're not illiterate- though it'd be difficult to prove that after the looks of your e-mail, try taking a look into our cd and show reviews sections and you will find that we do spend lots of time praising many bands.
PS- The OBVIOUS reason that Tony Hawk's name was chosen for the article was because he IS the most popular skater and people that don't skate or know anything about the sport would know right away what point was being made, as opposed to putting in the name of someone else who might be a pro skater but isn't as well known because some readers might not have understood what it was referring to. Regarding your last remark: "Shows how much you know about skaters." Holy shit- did you come up with that one all by yourself?? You really got us there. Now I'm going to go surf the net and try to figure out who in god's name TBS could possibly be...... [Try checking out our interviews section, moron.] Then I'm going to do something really ridiculously punk rock [like look up skater's names and then show off my profuse knowledge of the sport] so people like you will know I'm a 'true punk'!!!!
Hahaha so the next e-mail I open looks like this:
