If you've EVER considered a temporary job delivering phone books....DON'T DO IT! I FORBID YOU!
Okay so my family thought it'd be new and different to get a job delievering phone books for the week. We thought it'd be a quick, simple way to make a little extra $$$. HA! It's turned out to be quite the nightmare. First of all...you are given a route and each route has rougly 1200 books to deliver. It would be a cinch if you just had to deliver them BUT you ALSO have to put them in BAGS and not to mention making a gazillion trips to the place to pick them up and having to load and unload the car. The pay is too low to have to do THIS much work PLUS use your own gas!!! It's quite tedious, boring and it's actually REALLY hard work! And then now the money we made will have to go towards getting our car fixed because the starter is DYING!!! Ahhh so yeah..don't EVER get a job delivering phone books. We've talked to some other people who have done it and they said what we said. You do it once and you NEVER do it again! I have a new appreciation for the people who deliever my phone book every year. I never even at one point and time thought they that would have a hard job....
