November 2nd: The One Day Amanda Does Something Unselfish.
I'm going to attempt to give blood today.
If you don't remember, the last time I gave blood was right before a bunch of us drove up to Richmond for Anime Mid-Atlantic. I hadn't eaten [mainly because school started at 7:20 and who eats that early] and I was leaving immediately after I gave blood. Little did High School Student Amanda know that if you don't eat before you give blood, you're not doing anything after you give blood--nothing, that is, except faint and throw up on yourself...twice.
So this morning (...well, 11am [an "Amanda morning"]), I ate some oatmeal, had two classes of tea, and studied a bit for my Foundations of Christian Life exam. When I get back from my exam, I'm going to eat some granola and have some more tea, then I'll go *attempt* to give blood. I'm hoping I don't embarrass myself too badly!
