I simply can't fathom why biologists, or anyone with even a basic understanding of ecology, would advise this step:

Stuff like this makes me ashamed to be human. One of the wolves was shot today, this very day, it really brings it into perspective. Bad news again, I know, but I thought you might want to be aware of it. The wolf population in Scandinavia is already at a low genetic diversity, and was saved only because of a lone dispersing male from the other side of Germany, near or in Russia. Arseholes, just... Rragh! *Stalks off, shoulders hunched*
