D&D PLOT FOR PARADISA, CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Jul 09, 2010 01:28

BASICS
- All characters will be depowered except for the abilities of their classes
- If your character has a non-humanoid appearance (don't have two legs and two arms with thumbs), it's up to you whether they become an animal or a human
- No guns, no technology. Imagine a fantasy-set middle ages
- If whatever reason your character has an issue where they cannot live without their abilities or technology - the castle will godhax that problem away and they will be fine for the week
- Every Non-townsperson character will be given 25 gold pieces and enough food for two days. It costs about 10 gold to stay at an inn for a night (unless you anger the inn keeper than it may go up in price) and lot more to buy any clothes, weapons, etc
- Townspeople will have a normal amount of money and food depending on their occupation
- You earn food and money by doing quests and fighting monsters. Townspeople can only give non-townspeople money if you complete a task for them, the castle will block any charitable events
- Townspeople will have their own homes to stay in. Non-Townspeople will be staying at Inns where they either have rooms themselves or share (up to you!). Adventurers have to pay for every day that they stay at the Inn. If they can't afford an Inn, they either have to hope some Townperson lets them stay at their place, that it's a nice night for camping or they can sleep in the street. There might be some park benches open.

CLASSES:

Fighter
- Fights with Swords! Or axes!
- Got a good amount of strength
- Can wear heavy sets of armor (stuff that will actually protect your ass like chainmail or platemail)
- But can't use magic.
- CANNON FODDER

Paladin
- Fights with maces or hammers! Because there is something merciful about bludgering your opponent to death
- Can also heal and use holy magic, but it's not as strong as a Priests.
- Can also wear heavy sets of armor (chainmail or platemail)
- Unfortunately can only do good things. If you try to do wrong things, the castle cockblocks you. Little Pammy wants her doll back that's in a village full of zombies? Well sorry, but you better get your ass moving and get that doll.
- SLIGHTLY LONGER LASTING CANNON FODDER

Wizard
- Can use magic! Like fireballs!
- But you can only wear robes or cloth armor
- And can only wield things like staffs or daggers
- But hey! Fireballs!
- SPELL LIST: Fireball, Light, Detect Magic, Magic Missile, Scorching Ray, Mag Armor, Lightning Bolt, Feather Fall

Priest
- Can use holy magic to heal, attack and revive fallen allies. Your magic is way more powerful than a Paladin's
- Like Wizards, can only wear cloth armor or robes
- Also can only wield staffs and daggers
- SPELL LIST TBA

Bard
- It sucks to be you.
- Your weapon is a dagger, a small bow or your musical instrument
- Though you kinda suck at fighting.
- You can wear cloth or leather armor
- If you sing or play your instrument in battle, it can boost the moral/strength/power of your friends!
- But it doesn't always work sorry.
- And no that does not mean you can heal.

Thief
- You can steal like a pro
- You can pick locks like a pro- You can wear cloth or leather armor
- You wield daggers, short swords and throwing knives
- You are good at sneaking!
- Unfortunately unless you got a good amount of willpower, you are prone to kleptomania. Try not to pick the wrong pockets.
- Hobos are your worst enemy, they will instantly catch you no matter what.

Ranger
- Wears Leather hurhurhur
- Fights with Bows and Arrows and Axes
- Good at tracking and navigating through the wilderness
- You also get to have an animal companion of your choice. It can help fight or other things depending on the creature
- Unfortunately if you ever see someone mistreating nature in a careless or unnecessary way? You feel prone to feeling a lot of RAGE and might go into berserker mode.

Druid
- Wears Leather or Cloth armor
- Can used nature based magic! Think of having the ability to control plants.
- Unfortunately you need to have a plant around in order for this to work
- You can also transform into one animal of your choice. Pick an animal that fits your character's personality (or really really doesn't for the laughs)
- You fight with a staff
- Unfortunately plants are living things too, so they come with personalities. If you're not a nice druid and don't respect nature? They might not work like you want...or will go and make things difficult for you.

Monk
- YOU ARE FUCKING BRUCE LEE. YOU ARE JACKIE CHAN.
- WHO NEEDS WEAPONS WHEN YOU GOT YOUR FISTS THAT SOMEHOW DON'T BREAK WHEN YOU PUNCH ROCK OR METAL
- YOU KNOW KUNG-FU
- YOU WEAR LEATHER, THAT'S HOT BITCH
- YOU MUST BE SWIFT AS A COURSING RIVER WITH ALL THE FORCE OF A GREAT TYPHOON, WITH ALL THE STRENGTH AS A RAGING FIRE, AND MYSTERIOUS AS THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON

Townspeople
- You...live in a town!
- You wear no armor, you wield no weapon beyond brooms and skillets.
- You have various jobs around the town. Innkeeper, shop keeper, drunk guy, hobo, etc
- You sometimes feel compelled to give random quests to people. You need supplies of something? Too bad those troll thieves ran off with the shipment. You need a message delivered to the next house? Screw going yourself, you're busy! Get a paladin or a monk to do it!
- Sometimes when talking to other classes, you feel like saying the same thing over and over again.
- This is the class for characters who are probably better off not doing the fighting and the questing.
