hello little darlings
wow it got late.
i suppose it's time for an update--i am happy to report that i am finally emerging on the other end of the darkness that was going on over here. but it's been so krazy-kat-krazy in this neck of the woods--going away every weekend to san diego (parents), san francisco (boy i was in love with in college) and memphis (family, thanksgiving) coupled with teaching coupled with recs being due coupled with the whole grad school app thing coupled, in its turn, with the whole breakup debacle and you have a recipe for exhaustion. plus there's something about prep lately--everyone's running around like crazy people, intense as hell and like something's chasing them. i thought it was just me but as it turns out, it's not. something is very wrong there.
but it's not the amnesty coffee house--that's still good and it's tomorrow night and hopefully priscilla comes with me and we can snicker under our breaths at the crappier acts. not that we would, it's just we CAN.

i have lost my last pair of glasses and i am slowly going blind and it hurts.
grad school stuff has been slowly progressing--got some good news there recently and the wind is back in my sails.
i have no idea why i am so boring right now. i better go read some seventeenth century british lit just to get a little more so... (i have to brush up on that stuff for the GRE Subject Test TM, such bullshit). anyone got any words of wisdom for me re: volpone or duchess of malfi? don't want to read them.
