Handspun yarn - mint chip

Oct 24, 2009 11:59

Like most people here, I don't know Dave.

This is superwash wool yarn that I spun on my antique wheel from mill-end fibers. (So it's technically 100% pre-consumer recycled, even.) It's mostly a soft minty green, with swirls of white and black, and reminds me of mint chip ice cream. It's spun with a few thick and thin spots, but averages 14 WPI which makes it about a sock weight. I have one skein of it, measuring approximately 178 yards (107 wraps on a 60" niddy-noddy, so 535' or just over 178 yards).

If my image-posting fails again, links to the pictures are here, here, and here.

Bidding starts at $10 and ends at 1159pm PDT on 31 October.
