I don't know anyone involved personally, but I am a big supporter of people helping out others in the community in times of need, and in these times the community in need is everywhere. From what I've read Dave's house seems like something worth saving.
That being said, I'm really good at making things out of duct tape, specifically wallets. I'm going to auction off 2 duct tape wallets with the bidding starting at $10 each including shipping within the US and Canada (international bidders should check out the price of postage at the United States Postal Service website
http://www.usps.gov). I can do a variety of colors and styles.
I'm ending the auction at 12am 11/01/09, but I have a wedding to go to that weekend so I may not be able to confirm the winning bidders until the Monday afterward.
I can also make other things out of duct tape, so if anyone wants something else post an offer in a separate thread and we can discuss it. Things I've made in the past are money clips, floggers, coin purses, and I am currently working on an umbrella, to let you know what I'm capable of. I can't do clothing without someone in person for modeling, so that's only available for those who will be in the Albany, NY area.
I don't have any pictures, but I've only ever had compliments, and if you don't like what you get I'll work with you until you do.
Thanks in advance for helping support the cause!
Edit:
Do to a color inquiry I thought I'd make it known that my current color inventory is traditional silver, black, red, green, blue, and maroon.
I can also acquire yellow, orange, purple, hot pink, white, and maybe a few others.
If the bidding goes over $25 I'm willing to get a color I don't currently have.
