I make jewelry. I do beads & wire, no hot work, but I've been doing what I do for many years and have a small but dedicated fanbase.
I am also taking organic chemistry. As such, molecular modeling is something I'd like to practice, and playing with the plastic kit just makes me want to go play with beads. I just got a commission for a caffeine molecule pendant from one of the folks in my class. As for you, do you have a favorite molecule or two?
The higher the bid, the better quality the materials. I have everything on hand from glass and plated copper wire to silver wire and semiprecious stones. Alternately, you can commission multiple cheap molecules; $25 is the cutoff for two, up from there will get you more pieces or better quality materials.
I reserve the right not to do gigantamous pieces like DNA, but I will do one or more of its component bases if asked. As a general rule, drugs are good. (Heh.)
Oh, and: I'll try to keep this short so that I can get it done before the holidays, and end the auction Nov. 1 at 12:00 noon Pacific time.
ETA: It looks like this is spinning off side commissions, but I don't want to detract from the auction too much. Remember, for the molecule being auctioned, the higher the fancier - for other requests, message me. Any side pieces that get commissioned as the result of this post, I'll kick at least 20% of the price into the donation pot.
