If I based my friendships on correct grammar and punctuation, I may just have fifteen or so friends on Facebook. This thought saddens me more than it should, really. How did all these people get their high school diplomas if they all wrote like that? I don't understand the use of double commas at all. Why use five questions marks when one would suffice? Why do they shorten the words instead of spell them out correctly? (They would probably have spent the same amount of time typing them anyway.)

I am losing my faith in humanity bit by bit with things like these.
