♛ reading
o1. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
Grabbed from Earth moments before an extraterrestrial construction crew that is building an intergalactic highway destroys it, Arthur Dent and his alien friend Ford Prefect embark on a cosmos-spanning misadventure of satire and absurdity. In this classic science fiction comedy, the two hapless compatriots travel the galaxy in search of meaning for their new, planetless existence. Wreaking havoc and creating chaos wherever they go, Arthur and Ford provide a hilarious metaphorical look at high culture, political bureaucracy, and organized religion. (from
dccomics)
This series, I'm listening to on audiobooks. Almost done with Restaurant at the End of the Universe. Logic, philosophy, sci-fi and humor all mixed in. Fun read, really. :D (downloadable
here)
o2. The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
It is the story of a teenage girl who, after being raped and murdered, watches from Limbo as her family and friends struggle to move on with their lives while she comes to terms with her own death. (from
wiki)
Haven't finished reading this one yet though. (It's my toilet book.)
o3. Ang mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan by Bob Ong
Manila college boy goes back home to creepy ailing grandmother in the province. Horror ensues. (video preview
here)
When I picked the book up, I thought it was going to be another humor piece but I was wrong. Read it? Tell me so I can bug you with my questions.
o4. Ang Kagila-gilalas na Pakikipagsapalaran ni Zsazsa Zaturnnah by Carlo Vergara
Zsazsa Zaturnnah tells the story of Ada, a cynical resident of a small provincial town, who gains superhuman abilities through a stone that falls from the heavens. With the ability to transform into the voluptuous and powerful Zaturnnah, Ada defends his hometown from dangerous otherworldly threats.Adding color to this simple tale is the fact that Ada is a homosexual, proprietor of his own quaint beauty salon. Joining him in his extraordinary adventure is his frilly-mouthed assistant Didi and his secret love Dodong. Because of strong language and suggestive imagery, the comic book is strictly for mature readers. (from
visprint)
I had fun reading Ada and Didi's verbal spars. XD
o5. Garfield by Jim Davis
Fat cat hates Mondays, dogs, unnecessary exertion of effort; loves lasagna, coffee, his teddy bear and food in bulk amounts.
Garfield is cat-me.
♛ watching
o6. Glee
I haven't watched the last three or so episodes due to my busy *coughcough* sched. I hope to see more of Santana; I think she's the only character left without any major developments.
o7. The Tudors
I haven't got past episode one yet and goodness -- how many sex scenes are there in that pilot? Three? Four? (I sound like I'm 60. XD) The costume design will keep me watching.
o8. Monk
On the last season already; can't wait to see the episode with Sharona in it. I must admit that the last two seasons were sort of dull; things have been so predictable.
♛ listening to
o9. Illuminations album by Josh Groban
I recommend the song Você Existe em Mim. It's Portuguese and I don't understand a word of it but it's a great song. (album downloadable
here)
1o. Love album by The Beatles
It's a soundtrack remix album used by Cirque du Soleil for their show of the same name. My favorite is the the Blackbird/Yesterday mix.
11. Best of College a Cappella 2005
My favorites songs from this compilation are Run and Everlong. (tracklist
here; album downloadable

♛ playing
12. The Sims 2
Played this out of desperation not to be bored. The two games are re-plays too.
13. Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness
I missed the Laharl/Flonne fluff.
14. Jeanne d'Arc
Turn-based RPG. Messed up history by adding magic, dwarves, elves, talking frogs and transforming elves. I love this game though. My archer-tank combo is unbeatable, bwahahaha.
