This morning's dream was great.
Dave and I were having a date in the park. It was a really nice day. He tells me to sit at one of the picnic tables (which were round) and just wait. A black van pulls up in the parking lot and two guys start unloading. As they are walking toward my area of the park, I notice...it is Savage Garden! I glance at Dave and he's smiling like the Cheshire cat like, "I'm da man!"
I just sit there, unable to speak, and Darren Hayes (lead singer for Savage Garden) starts singing! I just sit there totally entranced, barely believing this is "really" happening!
In the middle of my private little concert, a group of people show up. Dave stares them down like, "Don't mess this up," so they pretty much stay out of my way, except one of the ladies decides I need a table cloth on MY table, so she comes over to do that, all the while, I'm struggling to see Darren Hayes over her.
The concert ends with Darren singing his solo song, "Insatiable," and I just melt. It is such a beautiful song!
After the concert, I rush over to Darren and start talking to him about how I am so glad to see them together again and hope they are going to write more music. He's really friendly. Kinda shy. He says he wishes his solo career could've worked out. I told him I had the CD and that I begged radio stations to play his song, but for some retarded reason, they didn't have it in their playlists anymore. They'd returned the rights, or something.
I walk with them back to their van and they say they have to get outta there because they are headed to the airport for a concert tour in Europe. Before they go, they have me sign a bunch of paperwork regarding the concert. Somewher eon the sheet it says I have to pay almost $900, but they never collect.
They ask if I want autographs and I say sure. I tell Darren that I want a shirt, but he says they have run out. So, I end up with some lame-o water bottle, but it has a signature for both of them. But, once I actually get it...it is a shirt, sorta. They gave me a ratty t-shirt with their autographs on it, and they also gave me the water bottle.
And then they drove away. And then, conveniently, my alarm went off.
I'm so happy my alarm decided to wait before going off. That was a very cool dream. I haven't even heard a Savage Garden or Darren Hayes song in forever, so it was weird to dream about them. But it was a really nice dream.
