There are so many things that I've realized this summer that despite the fact that this summer has been filled with so much useless and pointless bullshit, I've grown to appreciate it in a way.
I've learned that nothing gold can stay but when it does you have to hold it so close to you and refuse to let go of it.
I've learned that everyone is constantly growing and that includes the oldest of friends growing apart and sometimes you just have to appreciate that as long as the people you care about are truly happy.
I've learned that happiness can be found in the most unexpected places and the places that you often forget to look.
I've learned to not care about the small things because tomorrow they will be nothing.
I've learned that I can't rely on others for my own happiness but that it must come from within me and only I can give myself what I want.
I just want the rest of the summer to be exponentially better than the first part and for this school year to be wonderful.
