This is the world as it pertains to you and me. if only I could find the strength to catapault myself out of the world I know and into a world where you and I are no longer forbidden to each other. I see your eyes glowing in my dreams, I feel my heart turn over when your words appear. sometimes I wonder if you're real or if I've invented you in my head somewhere. if your existence is merely a dream borne from the deepest parts of me, the parts that crave things only you can give me.
Evidently what you feel about me is the card that I was assigned by birth. does that mean that you know me? really know me? because I would give anything to be known like that, without explanation, without even the opportunity to decieve, what if the things you see in me are the real things? how amazing is the world if it could bring me something like that? tonight you are far away, but just as mr. desnos is so fond of reminding me:

Far from me
but here all the same without your knowing,
Far from me
and even more silent because I imagine you endlessly.
Far from me
my lovely mirage and eternal dream,
you cannot know.
If you only knew

I imagine you endlessly. would that you were here with me. would that I could know all the things I desire to know about you. would that the list would ever end. tonight I'll sleep alone but I'll be dreaming of you.
