[The feed clicks on, showing Saix's face, calm and nearly expressionless, gazing into the PCD. His brow furrows for a moment before smoothing out.]
Ah, I see. A communication device - how unexpectedly convenient, if somewhat suspicious.
[He moves back, centering himself in the camera's view.]There is little need for me to ask what the name of

Well. It's Saïx. A few hours maximum, and that's if Demyx and Zexion don't spill the beans. Avoiding him is pointless. Talking to him? Not Axel's favorite thing to do, but at least it'll give him a chance to figure out what Saïx remembers. He's going to need to know.
His voice is casual and sarcastic when he finally flicks the PCD to recording mode. Audio only; it's less effort to keep his voice calm than his face.]

Attempting to ensure the success of our plans. And you?

Me? Flaming out destroying a bunch of Dusks! Minutes of fun. Almost.

Dusks. I would've expected better from you, Axel.

Turns out quantity makes a good substitute for quality after all!
[The silence meant Saix hadn't known. Then he's from before Axel's death, or just after.]

When did this happen?
[He didn't know. Could it have happened after his own death? Or - did he just not know?]
Reply
Why don't you tell me about the last thing you remember.
Reply
[It's the truth, after all.]
The last thing I remember before coming here was looking up at Kingdom Hearts.
Reply
It's convenient how that doesn't give him any useful information.]
Well. That could be any day of the week, couldn't it!

[Even if Xemnas wanted it for other reasons, even if it didn't give Saïx the heart he desired - at least not before he was defeated - it was better than nothing. Indeed, it was the only possibility available.]
Roxas was attempting to interfere.
[No, Sora doesn't get his own name.]
