Somewhere I Have Never Travelled--completed!
I've now posted the "Epilogue” to Ashwinder-
. . . in which we catch glimpses of a different post-Voldemort wizarding world, and see how Severus Snape and Hermione Granger cope with the aftermath of “Gwen Hawking’s” brief visit.
“Somewhere I Have Never Travelled. . .” took quite a while to write, from March 2004 ‘til August 2005, so I’ve felt it necessary to do some retrofitting here and there, mainly in the first few chapters. None of the changes is substantial: I’ve aimed for better overall plot-coherence, more background or clarity on a few issues, some character-tightening, and more precision of canon-usage and style.
This was my first-ever long work of fiction. Writing it was tremendous fun and, indeed, took me “gladly beyond any experience.”
I can’t possibly thank my beta-readers JOdel and Dried Plums enough for their patience, excellent critique, and ongoing encouragement. I’m also grateful to several members of the former “Worksnapers” writing group for their comments, and to Lara &Liquidscissors, who beta-read the first dozen chapters.
I appreciated and enjoyed every reivew, but several readers/reviewers particularly encouraged me, made me laugh, or inspired me (sometimes all three!): Aphrodeia, Deeble, Droxy, Innogen, JuneW, Novinha, sophierom, WeenyOwl. Thank you so much.
