WCs and FFs

Had an interesting bit of insight last night as I sat on the train home laying out some scratchings and scripts for a weekly webcomic. Once you've got a format established (page size, panel layout, etc) the writing gets built into that structure... very similarly to how you would structure a Fast Fiction piece.

The main difference between the two (storywise) is that the FFs are one-shots (usually) giving out one idea, whereas the continuity of the WCs mean you're using regular characters to space out your ideas, one pitch/chapter/week at a time.

Makes me glad I had begun working some FFs the same way with the "My Eyes Burn" series. Makes me happy knowing my brain can function in that mode, too!
