Looks like the Dalai Lama has annoyed China again.

I have tea.

Third year has been epic. Full scale assignments to hand in every week are slightly mind-boggling, but then there comes the extra boggle that when someone does you a favour, and hands in one of them while you're away, they hand it in at the wrong place. And you realize this a week after the assignment is due. So you sent a frantic email to the prof explaining the situation, and then you sit back, imagine the circle of control and remind yourself that the situation is now outside of it, and take a few deep breaths. They wheeze a little, but they go.

For you Ami students, I'll explain: Our first two years are custom-made for 17-year-olds coming to uni. They don't count at all. Marks start to count towards your final grade in your third year, and this is what graduate programs look at. It's nice in a way, because having that time to settle into things is good to have...except third year looks like first and second the way lions look like mice.

This is the part where the third year arts students in archaeology get really confused by the fact that one of our courses is called "Archaeological Science". We have enough trouble remembering that 2 and 2 make 5, and now we need to analyze stable lead isotopes? Really? This is the annoying thing about progressively building a department: they couldn't have run this course for us last year. They have to do it now. Meanwhile, the students are very confused and terrified for their marks.

Anywho, asylum calls. Back to work.

NaNoWriMo count is over 4000. It's on, guys.
