Silver Lightning for my really crappy dark cloud
Yeah it is a news that I am having a really crappy day. No, it is just same old, same old. My laptop is driving me crazy again. So things which happened to me
- My laptop was working fine after I removed all the worms and spyware yesterday night. So I updated my stories. that is the good thing because my laptop was working fine last night at home. Also it was working fine today in the morning when i turned it on.
- This is the crappy part. I came to work and saw that i had no internet connection on my laptop. I was having this problem from yesterday. First I thought it was because of the virus but I had already removed it earlier. So I thought it must be network problem.
I went to the network administrator with my problem and my sweet but naughty laptop. I don't know what the hell he did to my laptop, it stopped working all together. No connection, no function, nothing at all.
Well for his defense, he was trying to fix the problem instead created millions more. This is the problem when you go to a geek or to an expert with small problem, they just make things more complicated.
- So he suggested I should take my laptop to another technical expert who according to him was really good and he could fix my laptop and I would not have to reinstall the operating system again and I will not lose any data. So i went to him and he was baffled too. he asked me to leave my laptop with him and he will email me when he will fix it.
Here comes the sad part, I don't know this guy and I am leaving my laptop with all my online accounts and personal life info in there. i just hope he will not invade my privacy and he is not such a sick SOB. But I am apprehensive. Hope Iris will be fine and she will work properly.
I mailed him in the evening to ask if it is fixed, he said he will fix it by tomorrow. Oh God, Why me, why do you do these things to me.
- Ok, now coming to good part. As i was without my laptop and my boss didn't provide me with desktop, I got to work on a brand new Macbook, which is just so cool. I have never worked on a Mac before but i am getting use to it now and loving every second of working on it.
- Another good thing, for the first time I am not solving my laptop's problem. Someone else is doing it. It has the issue of invasion the privacy but atleast I am not having a headache with reinstalling the software and fixing the problem. Also fingers crossed that I do not loose any data.
Please God please, do atleast this for me. Let that good man fix my laptop. After everything I have been through, I am asking for a really small thing. Please do this for me. I will always be grateful.
