READ THE MANUAL!!!!!! Most cameras, especially digital, have manuals that are more often tossed out after that first perusal in the joyful rush of playing with a new toy (GUILTY). It's fun to learn the features of the knobs and buttons as you go but there may be features that are never explored or are underutilized. If you spend $2.50 on a disposable camera and take a couple minutes to make sure you know how to use it shouldn't you spend the equivalent amount of time on that $250 one?
Threw out the manual? Gotta love the internet, most manufactures will carry manuals and even if you cant find one you can find plenty'o blogs and boards to help.
