Walls

#01 - Back
As Draco made his way through the Room of Requirement to corner Potter and demand to know what this diadem was, he had the slight suspicion that Crabbe and Goyle won’t be protecting him this time.

#02 - Front
People in Slytherin fared Draco’s wrath, fared his icy glares and sharp words, but Vincent himself wasn’t afraid at all, though he acted like it; he’d seen through that facade long ago.

#03 - Yard
Draco liked to sit with Crabbe and Goyle under the shadow of the big oak tree in the courtyard, but he would rather battle the Giant Squid than admit it to anyone.

#04 - Foot
“You have such small feet!” was Goyle’s first words to a four year old Draco, who took a step back and glared.

#05 - Length
When Draco, happy and excited about his first year at Hogwarts, met Crabbe and Goyle on the platform, he couldn’t help seeing their wands and comparing them silently to his.

#06 - Rough
“We would show Potter what it means to reject a Malfoy, won’t we?”

#07 - Road
Their train rides to Hogwarts always consisted of one thing - plotting ways to make Harry Potter’s life unbearable.

#08 - Journey
Their train rides home were quieter, each of them worrying about what the summer would bring.

#09 - Hero
“Look at him, trying to play the hero, but he’s nothing more than a foolish, dirty Halfblood,” Draco sneered menacingly, and Vincent and Gregory agreed with that, though they were beginning to find Draco’s obsession with the Gryffindor trio kind of tiring.

#10 - Villain
Kneeling at the Dark Lord’s feet, feeling humiliated and useless after his failed attempt at killing Albus Dumbledore, it finally dawned on Draco that he‘d been on the wrong side of the war all along.

#11 - Clasp
Gregory couldn’t breathe - where’s Crabbe, what had he done? - but the sensation of someone grabbing him, lifting him up in the air, gave him a peaceful feeling in his mind; we’ll all be all right.

#12 - Hands
Draco was gentle as he asked Gregory if he was all right, his face covered in soot from the Fiendfyre, and Goyle nodded, shaking Draco away from him, not wanting to feel those dirty, murderous hands on his body.

#13 - Beautiful
Gregory hated him, hated how even when Draco was like this, covered in dirt and disgusting bruises, radiating misery and grief, he was still beautiful.

#14 - Ugly
He realised that they, he and Crabbe, were the ugly ones, and that made him despise Draco all the more.

#15 - Mind
Draco had known it then - seeing the loathing in Goyles’ eyes - that an impenetrable wall had been build between them, and no matter what Draco did, nothing will make the distance between them shorter.

#16 - Passion
Vincent could never convey these feelings, the need to be at Draco’s side at all times, to see him smile, even in mockery, into words - there was too many, and yet not enough to give the feelings in him any form of sense.

#17 - Whine
Draco made the most delicious sounds when he was excited, and Vincent, his tongue devouring Draco’s mouth, swallowed them all.

#18 - Cheap
Telling Goyle about that night with Draco would diminish the memory’s value, Vincent thought, and as a result, he never told him or anyone else - it was his memory to keep.

#19 - Dirty
“Why do you bother with taking the meals to the prisoners when they don’t even deserve it?” Gregory said, eyeing the tray of food in Draco’s hands disdainfully.

#20 - Clean
“Remember what I taught you, Draco my son, because a time will come when all our dreams will come true.”

#21 - Tail
“Come, let’s follow them!” Vincent said, his eyes blazing with pure hatred, as he saw Potter and his sidekicks slip through the door of the Room of Requirement.

#22 - Warp
Vincent demonstrated a new dark spell he had learned and Goyle grinned.

#23 - Black
“You did it, Draco,” Goyle said in amazement, as his greedy eyes admired the black, respected mark tattooed on Draco’s wrist.

#24 - Hole
Draco had always wondered how Crabbe and Goyle’s head worked, or if there was anything but a big, dark hole in there.

#25 - Escape
Draco’s arms tightened around Goyle, his eyes searching frantically for a way through the angry flames of the Fienfyre, and his heart gave a hopeful leap when he saw Potter’s form rushing towards them.

#26 - Blaze
How could it end this way? Draco thought, trying to protect his face from the blazing fire.

#27 - Candle
Draco used to stay up until very late sometimes, correcting Goyle and Crabbe’s essays in the light of a lonely candle, but now, seventh year, Draco was sad to realise that they didn’t need him as much anymore.

#28 - Fade
It’s weird, Draco thought, how human relationships can fade into nothingness within a single year.

#29 - Faint
Draco was very drunk, laughing more than he’d had in a year, when Vincent found the courage to kiss him for the first time.

#30 - Pressure
Draco looked confused for a moment, and Vincent felt stupid - stupider - before Draco threw himself at him and kissed him back.

#31 - Head
The next morning, Draco acted as if he’d forgotten everything, moaning and complaining about his terrible hangover, and Vincent felt betrayed and hurt.

#32 - Ache
“Vincent is dead,” Draco told his parents, and his mother threw herself in his arms, sobbing Draco’s name.

#33 - Mend
Draco hadn’t spoken to Goyle since the Battle of Hogwarts, even though he’d tried to approach him, to say the words that haunted him day and night - I’m sorry, so sorry - but Goyle’s hard eyes always stopped him, making him feel unworthy of even uttering an apology.

#34 - Itch
The new Death Eater robes were made of the hardest material possible to give a better protection, and as such, it was very uncomfortable against Draco’s skin.

#35 - Scratch
Draco scratches his elbow, feeling much too small in the robes and the mask and the responsibility they both bring with them.

#36 - Scream
Hearing Draco’s scream, a scream that expressed deep, unbearable pain, Gregory closed his eyes, pretending nothing was happening; Draco deserved his punishments for the failures he’d brought them all, no matter what Gregory felt.

#37 - Cry
When they’d decided to go look for Draco, to see why it took him so long to return to their common room, they hadn’t expected to find Draco in an abandoned classroom with his clothes askew, leaning against a wall, a fist in his mouth to muffle his cries, while that Ravenclaw’s head worked between his legs.

#38 - Moan
As Draco’s moans grew loader, Vincent and Gregory turned away after a shared look, and speeded down the corridor, intending on forgetting the sight of Draco, all flustered and flushed with heat.

#39 - Bitch
They loathed her, the both of them did, for taking Draco away, though they never talked about it; there was no reason to.

#40 - Please
“Wouldn’t you, please?” Draco’s Ravenclaw girlfriend said, pouting and batting her eyelashes at Draco, and Vincent had to suppress a shudder of disgust.

#41 - Night
Lying under his duvet, the room silent but for the snoring and even breathing of his dorm mates, Vincent wondered why he’d never had any luck with girls - or anyone else - as Draco seemed to have.

#42 - Day
Under the light of day, Vincent decided Draco wasn’t just lucky with girls, the girls were lucky to be with him, and Crabbe suddenly detested him for that.

#43 - Afternoon
On lazy, warm afternoons, when Draco sat with them under the shadow of the great tree in the courtyard, laughing and telling them stories, Vincent found himself liking this friend of his all over again.

#44 - Midnight
Hearing Draco get into bed, many hours after midnight, made Vincent’s stomach turn - both with disgust and jealousy.

#45 - Twilight
They would sneak out of the dorms sometimes after sunset, just the three of them, not to follow Potter or any other Gryffindor, but just to have fun, do daring things and be themselves while they still could.

#46 - Gentle
They weren’t gentle with each other that night - it was about taking, owning, even just for a moment, and Vincent took what he could.

#47 - Massage
“Yes, right there Goyle - not that rough, you moron!”

#48 - Flower
Draco had to stifle a laugh when he saw the polyjuiced Crabbe and Goyle emerge from the bathroom, wearing ugly dresses and sullen faces.

#49 - Perfume
Vincent could smell a faint, sweet perfume drifting from Draco’s direction, and knew Draco had been with that horrid Ravenclaw again today.

#50 - Bottle
The only way Draco could escape this reality - the torture, the expectations - was by drinking, until he couldn’t think any longer.
