Until Now
Everything was ready. Two months’ work had finally paid off, and Harry stood hidden under his invisibility cloak with Malfoy, just outside the wards of the place that housed the worst serial killer in the last 10 years.
He had brutally murdered a number of innocent Muggles in various night clubs without leaving a hair or any trace behind. The Auror Department had been notified after a month of the first murder, and there had been no doubt in anyone’s mind; the killer was a wizard, and the fact that he targeted ignorant Muggles made him all the more dangerous.
And now, they finally had the bastard, and were seconds away from a legendary arrest, people would talk about for month. But Harry’s mind wasn’t on the task before him. No, it was on a certain hard body, pressed against his left side. This was his first mission with Malfoy, and Harry was very aware of his presence all the time.
Malfoy was concentration itself, his body stiff and ears pricked. Harry on the other hand couldn’t think about anything else but the way Malfoy smelled.
Malfoy held his hand in front of his mouth, whispering into the Message-Beetle the Aurors used instead of a microphone. He ended the conversation and turned around, whispering: “What are you waiting for? Everything’s clear!” Harry suddenly found himself looking into intense gray eyes.
”You know, Malfoy? I never much liked gray,” Harry murmured. “Until now.”
“What are you talking about, Potter?” Malfoy laughed with a quizzical expression on his face. “You are so weird.”
