Have you ever had a passion/vision for something, yet have no idea how the entire thing is going to play out?

When I was in college, my whole view of the church began to change. It started out as "well this is my church and sure we'd like to do stuff with other churches but never grow them." Now it has completely switched over to "why are we NOT working with other churches...are we that selfish to think that our church is the only one that needs to grow?"

Anyway, usually when you move to a place, your job will bring you there...but that's rarely the only reason you are there. I've often wondered "why Indy out of all places?" I'm starting to figure that out. Last week I went to the Indiana Youth Institute conference and one of my seminars was all about getting non-profit community organizations to work with churches. I am a big advocate for interdenominational ministry and this seminar was similar to getting churches to work together.

I was thinking about this the other day, but had NO clue how to even begin the whole process...but lately the people that have been crossing my path are on the same page. For instance, I met a new friend at my office a little over a month ago. She was such a breath of fresh air because she's totally into the whole interdenominational thing so we've had loads of conversations. She's introducing me to other people who are also all about it.

Then today I helped our development department out with Radiothon and met a few of the seasoned volunteers. Two of the ladies live on the south side and are involved in pretty much anything community related, and then another gentleman used to be a pastor of the United Church of Christ...but he's also on the same wavelength.

So it's starting to come together...slowly but surely...still working on what this whole thing will look like..but it's gonna be big...

I'll explain more later
