This convention is freakin AMAZING!

I love California...DEFINITELY have to come back to do more touristy stuff.

Went to a seminar this morning doing the whole "personality" thing...led by Laurie Polich (she spoke at spring arbor). It was pretty good.

Had lunch with random Ukrainians who moved to Sacramento about 15 years ago. Very cool
people! I hope to run into them again.

First general session was great! David Crowder band ROCKED at Worship.

Met up with Vince Beresford after that session...and pretty much hung with him the rest of the day. Awesome guy. We talked about Youth councils stuff and guys seriously, if you are a salvation army youth, or a youth that just wants to attend, you DO NOT want to miss this years youth councils. Oh my word..it's gonna be AMAZING!

Anyway, second seminar was with Mark Oestreicher...Junior High Ministry Guru...pretty much rocks my socks off!

After that went to dinner with Vince and a few other people. Good times good times.

Just golt back from Second general session and it was even better than the first one. "Lost and Found" played and little, talked a little, Family Force 5 played!!!! LOVE them. Joe Castillo (sand art picture guy) was amazing. Team Wordplay did an Anchorman Skit (which is awesome since we are in San Diego). And then Phil Vischer spoke...yeah, he's the guy that produces veggietales...the voice of Bob the Tomato...and a few other characters.

So anyway, my body still hasn't quite adjusted to the time. It's only 10:45 here...which means 1:45 at home. ugh

I also got a couple great books for the youth department. One is "They Like Jesus, but NOT the Church" by Dan Kimball, and the other is "Don't Rock the Boat, CAPSIZE IT" by Rick Bundschuh. Looking forward to reading both of those...should be crazy good!

Weather here is fabulous. In the upper 70's, no humidity, sunshine, and just plain beautiful!
