Hmm..what's been going on in the life if Deena? Well last weekend I got to go back to Envision which was AMAZING! I love you guys!
Had a meeting with the Fort Wayne Corps on Monday
Bible study Monday night (which was great as always)
Tuesday and Wednesday in the office...then wednesday night to Grandmas
Thursday and Friday were spent in Chicago. The driving was MUCH better this time around. No way am I EVER taking the Dan Ryan again. I took 294 around the city this time and it was SOOOOOOOO much faster. Plus, I got to go right by O'Hare and seriously, I could sit and watch airplanes all day. It's incredibly entertaining.
Anyway, I had to go to chicago for a Divisional Character Building Directors conference. It was pretty fantastic. There were about 12 of us there and you could definitely tell all of us worked in the youth department because we were loud when we went to dinner :) It was also nice to know that I'm not the only one in my boat...there are quite a few others.
Anyway, the conference was great and it only took me 4 hours to get home from Chi-town. very very nice...considering the last time I did it, it took me over 9 HOURS.
So yeah, I then spent all day saturday vegging...and doing nothing...and I loved every minute of it! Saturday night I got a lovely call from Miss Hannah and I talked to her for almost 2 hours! So good to talk to camp people again!
Also got the Hillsong United "All of the above" and Chris Tomlin "See the Morning" CD's...they're pretty fantastic. I'm learning a lot of the songs so we can use them at camp next year.
Church this morning was great! It's days like today that I know I've been placed in a great church here in Indy. Yes it's big..and I've never really been a fan of the "megachurch", but I like this one...a lot. I'm starting to make a few friends here which is great, and going camping with them next weekend! woot!
