Tonight was awesome! I definitely needed it. It reminded me of another reason why I absolutely LOVE camp!
Okay, so the second summer I worked at Lakewood our staff was tight! We were a family...soooo close. I loved it. If I had a problem, I could go to ANYONE on staff and talk to them. I miss them like crazy.
Anyway, when I moved to Indy I thought I remembered that Nick, one of the guys I worked with, lived down here so I decided to call him up tonight. I haven't seen this kid in almost 2 years and tonight I got to hang out with him and his family. The best part about it was all of us sitting around the fire listening to Nick play his crazy songs. Tonight was one all about a cat singing (roommate, you would've peed your pants laughing b/c it was a whole song meowing). Reminded me so much of Lakewood! Man I miss those days! I miss the late nights of sitting in Weade and making up dumb songs. I miss the staff worship nights out in the Dome field. I miss hearing the songs Nick wrote. I also miss that last staff worship on the boat!
It was great to finally be social tonight though. Good times good times!
