(no subject)

It really bothers me how people allow their boundaries to fade over time.  I think that boundaries can change over time; I change my mind about things everyday.  No, this doesn't mean I'm sitting on the fence.  I believe that being informed is one of the best things you can do for yourself.  Learn about everything - especially the things you don't want to know.  Risks are good for the soul; take the good ones as they come.  Good risks don't mean that you get the best out of the situation - it solely means that there is a definite advantage or a definite loss depending on how things turn out.  Bad risks are what leave you in the hole no matter what.  Some people say that there is no such thing - why would someone take a bad risk? Ignorance is what keeps us where we are, it puts us in the hole  Keep regret to a minimum.  "regret" is such an odd way to put something, but it comes from ignorance.  But regret is just learning, right?

Stepping out of the box is different from straying far away from the box.  "The Box" is definitely not society's norm, no? The box doesn't have standards for everyone, it includes "standards" for yourself.  "gothic" does not represent society, so wouldn't it be stepping out of the box if a gothic boy asks if friends to go to church? Know where you box lies. Everyone should have limits, no matter how ridiculous.  Sure, some have much broader of an area to fit it, but does that give an incredibly uptight person an excuse to go beyond what they think is right?  Be informed of your surroundings.  Don't compromise your limits based on opportunity.  Don't choose your friends based on limits (don't be selective), but don't become oblivious to everything you stand for.  Media is not an excuse to forget. Listen to what others have to say.  Know that you are only strong enough to depend on someone when you can depend on yourself.  Admire, don't obsess. Know when to stop yourself even when no one is stopping you.
